Continuing with my keyword research today. Does it take a long time no matter what tool you use? My take on Keyword Elite is that it does not work well for the project we have been assigned to complete in the adsense coaching I am involved with. It freezes and then inaccurately sorts the data it collects. This is happening regularly for a number of the folks in the class, including me. The coach is looking for an alternative keyword research tool to use.

I have a copy of KeywordsAnalyzer but haven’t learned how to use it effectively. I haven’t had the need to before now. This might be the time to check out what it can do. If I end up liking the results, I’ll check out joining their affiliate program.

That’s all for now. Thanks for visiting.

P.S. “Grab your high value & cheap backlink along with hundreds of dollars worth of other business tools for only five dollars. Search engine optimization is crucial if you want to survive online. If you ask any expert on SEO, they will tell you that having high relevant backlinks is a must if you want to compete in the search engines with your chosen niche.”

These are Ken Fox’s words about Boy Million. He’s the creator of both Blogini and Boy Million. I thought I’d let him promote it for me tonight.

Not sure that’s exactly what they’re called, but I spent a good part of the day posting article snippets to the Article Underground blogs. Basically what these do is provide backlinks to my websites from blogs with PR4 - PR6. It’s a pretty cool set up. I have over 20 blogs to choose from and never have trouble finding blogs that cover my website niches. I’ve been getting some traffic to my fitness site. That’s the one I concentrated on today, so I’m interested to see what happens in the next couple days. I estimate I added about 50 links to that site today.

Another way to get backlinks to a site is to go to Boy Million’s page and get in on the deal there for only 5 bucks. The site continues to grow in Alexa rankings and is really taking off. I’m glad to be a part of it. This is a fun one to watch.

I also kept plugging away today researching keywords for some new adsense sites, for coaching program I’m in. I’ve found some that I really like and that is encouraging.

Actually, it felt great to be back to work today after a break for the holidays. I really enjoy what I am doing!

So I sort of took an inventory of all the projects I’m working on right now. I may have too much planned. I’ve said it a bunch of times before, I need to focus and finish things before taking more on. But knowing this, I took on another activity this week. I’ve signed up for some coaching on adsense keyword research and site building. Have I mentioned that before?

The coach is offering a very specific process to follow to mimic her success. It’s not very expensive and we get a ton for the money. So far it’s pretty intense, especially considering the season. But she introduced us to Keyword Elite for our research. The process is super slow, although I believe that’s in Overture’s corner and not Keyword Elite’s. I’ll hold off on including a link to KE until I know if I like it or not. I think I’ll really benefit from the coaching.

Someone else who has coaching in the works is Ken Fox, the creator of Blogini, the Global Weblog Network. He is so committed to his customers and gives more than could ever be expected. I am so glad I learned of his program and signed up when I did. It’s not a quick fix to anything, but if you’re in it for the long haul, it will really payoff. It already has, big time. And have you ever heard of the cost for a program going down? That’s the plan, along with a whole lot more in 2007.

We’re doing the Boy Million campaign through Ken Fox’s tutelage. Such an opportunity! It’s a can’t miss. Check it out.

That’s it for now!

Today I added a new RSS setup to my marketing website. The software is MSI Fetch, which is free and fairly easy to install and configure. I had worked with CaRP before and found this to be pretty cumbersome. MSI Fetch allows you to configure and update the feed via a webpage, while CaRP requires you to update a file via FTP and program all the html yourself. I definitely prefer the webpage access.

I also did some more work with tag and ping. This is sort of time consuming, but hopefully worth it in the long run. I added my fitness website to a bunch of social bookmarking sites. I need to go through my list and get them all tagged. I think there are some programs that automate this a bit. Maybe I’ll do some research.

MyMSN won’t let me add this blog to my page. Claims it doesn’t recognize the feed URL. Yahoo and Google have no trouble, why does MSN? And why does MSN not index my webpages when Google and Yahoo do? I’ve gotten the impression that MSN is the easiest to get indexed with. Not true for me.

That’s it for now. Busy week ahead.

Just finished watching “Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” on TNT. What a great movie!

Trying out something new again behind the scenes with this blog post tonight. I’m curious to see how it turns out. It has to do with social bookmarking. I am catching on after all.

This might sound really dumb, but I had a revelation last night about the difference between social bookmarking and social networking. I was actually lumping them together as the same thing. No way!

Social bookmarking is about tagging websites that we like and sharing these favorites on any number of sites created for this purpose.

Social networking is about joining communities and building blogs or sites and sharing these with a network of friends that we build. I know, I know, very simplistic and they’re a bunch more complicated than that, but it’s a start.

If you haven’t gone to visit the Boy Million page, take a minute now. It’s pretty cool.

That’s it for now.
