Submitted my first articles for approval at ezinearticles.com today. That felt like a hurdle and I feel good about it. I also got some articles written. That ended up being fun, but I sure hope I can speed up the process.
Mixed messages today about the Overture keyword tool. It maybe continue to be available after all. I’ll keep you posted.
Have a good one!

The big news today is the demise of the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool. It appears Yahoo! will no longer be maintaining it in its current form. This is turning most of the keyword analysis tools upside down, because they rely on Overture alone for their data. While each of these keyword programs works to rediscover itself, there is one keyword program currently available that did not rely exclusively on Overture.
That tool is NicheBot2, which offers a suite of keyword research tools including Keyword Discovery, WordTracker, and Google. I recommend checking it out before you panic. To do that, start here:
Click here to be introduced to the NicheBot2 $1 trial.
Click here to view the NicheBot2 WordTrend video.
Take action now and you won’t lose any ground in your keyword research.
That’s all for now.

Would I be better off with a new blog theme, something more sophisticated? Maybe. I do really like the semiologic themes. I also like looking at yellowdog. Oh well.
As of today, all 3 of my newest sites are indexed. It just took a few days. I have to keep building links, though I know the content is good and the keywords are good and the sites will work.
Focus continues to be an issue for me. I recently read an ebook called “5 Bucks a Day” in which the author, Dennis Becker talks about making a list of all the ways you can come up with to make 5 bucks a day, and then begin implementing 1 of these ideas each week. The earnings are cumulative, so by the end of a month you would be earning 20 bucks a day. I think I’ll read it again to make sure I’ve integrated what he’s suggesting. A lot of his emphasis is on focus. Along with the purchase of the book, Dennis also offers a forum for masterminding and pretty valuable downloads and discounts. I think it’s a really good value.
That’s all for now.

The news today is that one of my 3 new sites is now indexed by Google. I don’t know exactly when I initially published it, but 3 days ago I submitted it to a bunch of social bookmarking sites, and then 2 days ago I linked to it from some Article Underground announcer blogs. I have a couple links from 2 different sources, and the site is indexed. Pretty cool and pretty fast! Now my job is to get hundreds or thousands of links going that direction. I’ve started the process of submitting articles to ezinearticles.com. I know what to do, and now I just have to do it. I’m pretty excited though!

I tried to upload this picture for my last post, but couldn’t remember how. For a refresher, I refered back to a tutorial by Guido Stiehle that I used as my introduction to WordPress. The tutorial covers all the basics of getting a WP blog uploaded to your server, making posts, blogging and pinging, and using themes and plugins. It’s really well done, and it’s free. This tutorial and a couple others by Guido can be found at EasyWebTutorials. I highly recommend them.
Thanks for visiting. That’s all for now.

Well, the Googlebots have visited my new websites. These are the ones I bookmarked yesterday on about 20 social bookmarking sites using Bookmarking Demon. None are indexed, but all received visits. I haven’t had the knowledge before to watch the indexing process so closely. It’s kind of fun.
Actually, I am having so much fun with all of this marketing and site building stuff. It feels incredible, and because of that, I only have expectations of success. I feel so confident that I have built a strong foundation and affiliated with some good teachers and programs. Believe me when I say I spent too much time and money with some bad ones in the past!
I secured some more backlinks for my newest sites today by announcing them on Article Underground blogs. These are PR 4-6. That should help in the indexing effort too.
Tomorrow I absolutely will complete my Squidoo lens on Boy Million! I do get moving in too many directions at once and so complete projects more slowly than I’d like. I feel less confident with this too, and I think that holds me back. Tomorrow is the day.
I watched some videos on another blog of Matt Cutts, a Google big guy, answering some questions about Google’s guidelines, SEO, IPs and miscellaneous other questions. Very interesting. I’ll plan to bring some videos with valuable information to this blog too. We can all learn.
That’s it for now.
P.S. Go Gophers! 80-78 in OT.
