Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Archive for February, 2007

Just had a training with Ken Fox and the Blogini folks about promoting Boy Million. We’re going to focus on creating videos. At first the idea made me really nervous, but now I feel really excited about it. I can think of dozens of ways using videos would help with my efforts online. The first would be on Squidoo. So be watching for a video sometime soon!

There’s lots of great stuff in store for Boy Million.  Wait a couple days to check it out again.  I’ll give you the heads up when it’s ready.

That’s all for now.

My focus this weekend has been on adding a number of articles on taxes to my finance site. I got these articles through a Warrior Forum WSO a short time ago, and am finding them really well written and informative.

I’ll finish editing and publish the new articles tomorrow and then start to promote like crazy to get some traffic. I’ll do that by submitting the site to directories, posting comments on blogs, submitting to social bookmarking sites, and announcing the pages on Article Underground blogs. That’s a start. Then I plan to do some article submissions too. I’m guessing I’m even a little late getting these pages up, but it’s good info and we’ll see what happens. So far I only have adsense on the site, but I’ll also add some affiliate links. I’m really enjoying doing this.

I learned of a really cool tool today, courtesy of Dr. Andy Williams. It’s called a Keyword bookmarklet, and clicking on it brings up a report of all the keywords and related keywords for the website you currently are looking at. Very cool tool. I only played with it briefly, but it looks like it brings up all kinds of keywords that aren’t even on your site, sort of like I would suspect of an LSI tool. I’ll play with it somemore and let you know what I find. You can find the tool at: www.seoprotoolz.com. Have fun!

My most pressing priorities got attention today. Number 1 was writing an article for InfoGoRound. Very productive day.

There’s so much fun stuff to do and I continue to learn and learn and learn. And I can’t believe how many videos I have lined up to watch. I might have to take a couple days just to catch up on those. Many of them are on traffic strategies. That’s something I would like a lot more of.

The video I watched the other day on CPA was from the Instant Adsense Templates package. It was really well done. Eric Holmlund is actually the creator of those. I discovered a number of pretty good looking videos with that package. Maybe it isn’t such a waste of money after all.

That’s all for now. Have a good weekend everyone!

Appears Ken Fox of Blogini fame is still busy renovating his program, isn’t yet ready to reveal the structure and fee plan to us yet. I’m on the edge of my seat. I do trust that it will be great. Again, Blogini is a program that builds a network of backlinks for designated blogs and sites, based on our keywords. Overall they go above and beyond in the value they offer.

Today I worked on website re-design. Constructive use of time, but again not my most pressing priority. I guess I crank it out better when I let stuff go down to the wire.

If you’re into the Law of Attraction and paying attention to mindset as important in your success, you might want to check out WindowsToWellness.com. They do a weekly radio show on healing, self-help, and empowerment. Today I listened to a segment by Esther Hicks of Abraham-Hicks. It was very wonderful and very entertaining.

That’s all for now. Have a good one.

Quite a productive day today. Much better than when I last wrote.

I’m still in the process of re-reading “5 Bucks a Day,” and compiling my list of projects, which is good. Even better is that ideas are coming to me from all over the place. That’s even better! I watched a video on CPA (cost per action) today and have lots of ideas from that. Then there’s minisites, bum marketing, adsense websites, authority sites, etc. There are countless ways to build revenue streams but focus is still vital. Build with one technique at a time and finish what I start. That’s so key to success.

I submitted some more articles to Ezine Articles this afternoon. I’m close to where I can be promoted to platinum status so articles can be approved in hours rather than days. I’m reading on the Keyword Avalanche forum that Ezine Articles is becoming more selective about what it will accept. Looks like they don’t want any articles that even appear to promote specific products. That’s good to know now, but a little late for some of my new adsense sites. I outsourced the articles and some came back looking very promotional. Oh well.

In addition to submitting articles, I have been bookmarking the pages on my sites with social bookmarking sites. I’m doing it a page at a time so it doesn’t look spammy at all. I also created a whole bunch of links to my pages from the Article Underground blogs. The point is to get links and more links. I’ll just stick with it. I’m also continuing to register with article directories in order to use Article Post Robot, which will distribute articles to hundreds of the smaller directories. The signing up process is the time consuming one. The article posting will be the easy part.

Priority for tomorrow is writing an article for InfoGoRound. If I submit one article a month, my membership is free. I don’t understand how they do it, but I sure appreciate it.

That’s all for now. It’s a good day to give someone a hug… Happy Valentines’ Day.
