Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Archive for March, 2007

Sort of a fun day. I continued to load content onto blogs that compliment my adsense sites. It becomes sort of mindless but I have a solid sense of satisfaction for completing the task. Then I claimed them all in Technorati too.

Now it’s back to preparing some original articles to spool for Article Post Robot and get them submitted to a whole bunch of smaller directories. I’ll announce all of the pages on the websites through Article Underground again, and it’s time to submit fresh articles to the major article directories all over again. Keep promoting! That’s how it will pay off.

Well, that’s my day. If you didn’t catch that Keyword Avalanche is open to new members on a trial basis for a short time, take a look now. It won’t last for long. Use this link — KA $1 Trial Membership — when you check it out.

It’s password protected because not everyone gets access to it. Use these to get in — user: kashe — pw: vault.

Have fun with it! I sure do.

I haven’t written much lately. I know it’s not good, but it’s due to not focusing much on this work lately. That can change now, though. Most of the distractions are gone.

Today, my focus was again on promoting my adsense sites. I spent the day putting content on the blogs attached to the sites. It’s slow going, but the process of building links is well underway. I’ll commit to sticking with it and trust my efforts will pay off in the not too distant future. I’d be very happy with $5-$15 per site per day. We’ll see if I can achieve that.

Keyword Avalanche is offering a 7 day trial membership for $1. This is the first time in months that they are accepting new members, and it is by invitation only at this time. I highly recommend it for the training and coaching you’ll receive, with direct access to some pretty seasoned marketers, including Tim Gorman of article marketing fame, and Jim Morris of NicheBOT 2 fame. They just announced a ton of developments for the membership coming up in the next few months. It is very worth checking out.

This is a VIP invitation and the sales page is accessible by password only. If you’re interested, use this link: KA $1 Trial Membership

Hope to see you there.

Just a quick update today.  I submitted 3 articles to ezinearticles.com and all were accepted.  I also learned that I have been awarded “expert author status” for all 3 of my pen names.  Not sure what benefits that gives me, but I’m sure the label is good.

I’ve also been playing with Website Position Wizard a little bit.  This is a free version of the software that I downloaded a few months ago.  It tracks the indexed pages and backlinks in Google, Yahoo, and MSN for any websites you designate.  Very interesting results.  Google recognizes no backlinks, Yahoo has thousands and MSN shows hundreds.  What’s the deal?  How to understand this?  I’ll ask some questions and report back.  Right now that data is not very useful because it is too different between the SEs.

Have a good one.

Wow, I was all over the place today! I can’t believe the number of distractions that called for my attention. Taxes, bills, faxes, Warrior Forum WSOs, computer problems…you name it! And many of them won…

I did get an article edited and posted on ezinearticles.com. That’s an accomplishment.

Here’s an opportunity I learned about if you’re interested in being an internet marketing consultant. Jaime Mintun is a marketer who pulled herself from dire straits to a pretty nice income by creating a consulting business. She was so successful, others wanted to learn her model, and she is now offering the training to others. Check her out at www.turbochargedconsulting.com. It’s not for me, but it might be for you.

That’s all for today!

Feel like I’ve been out of commission for a couple days, although I have been accomplishing something everyday. I guess I’m just used to recording my activities here most nights and I haven’t for awhile.

A couple things:

Blogini 2.0 is launching now on March 20. It was moved back to avoid a shared launch with a couple other major products, as I understand it. You will get some info by email if you sign up for the earlybird list, and I’ll include somemore in here later this week. Ken Fox is still rolling it all out to us. It sure looks loaded.

I signed up for Auction Ads and put some ad blocks on some of my websites. They look cool, give the pages variety and color, and apparently have a pretty good click through rate. They advertise eBay auctions and membership is free and easy to set up. I’m still getting too little traffic to adequately test their effectiveness. That needs to change.

Finally, I signed up today as an eBay affiliate. A bunch of people on the 5 Bucks a Day forum absolutely love the program. Sounds like there are tons of options and they’re earning plenty of money. I look forward to jumping in. Getting my feet wet and learning the ropes will be one of my 5 Bucks a Day projects one of these upcoming weeks.
