Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Today I submitted a couple articles to Associated Content. Now it’s wait and see as to whether or not they’ll want to accept and pay anything for them.

Spending some time on the site today I got the impression they are looking for very original content, information that can’t be found elsewhere. They seem to want reviews of products and movies and CDs, even nursing homes. They’re interested in reviews of the sites and restaurants where you live, etc. I get the impression they want a personal touch, and not information that already exists on dozens of websites. They’ll even take college term papers!

If you can whip off a 400 word article on any of the above types of topics, you may like the site. The payout for articles is anywhere from $3-$20 (something like that). So it’s not going to make anyone wealthy. But they don’t require exclusive articles either.

You can submit an article to Associated Content that is already published on the web. The only requirement is that you hold the copywrite. So why not submit your articles to ezinearticles.com, and a short time later to Associated Content for a few bucks? Better yet, why don’t I submit articles to ezinearticles.com and then to Associated Content? Can’t hurt.

Is everyone here aware of NicheADay.com? It’s a service offered by the founders of Keyword Avalanche. In a daily email, they provide a niche idea, along with an extensive keyword list. It’s all free and absolutely worth checking out.

That’s all for now. Have a good one!

Beginning tomorrow, an internet traffic expert is going to be leading the Keyword Avalanche members through a 30 day traffic generation experiment. All we have to do is pick one of our sites and show up. He’ll give the directions for our specific tasks everyday. Should be a pretty valuable learning experience.

FYI, the Keyword Avalanche $1 trial membership continues to be available. Obviously I think it’s a great value, it’s all I talk about! Here’s the scoop: KA $1 Trial — user: kashe — pw: vault.

I finally registered at AssociatedContent.com today. I say “finally” because I first heard about them eons ago. They pay people to write and submit articles. It’s not a ton of money, at least at first, but it is a payment and can grow. Also, I’ve only heard good things about them. If you write at all, you might give them a look.

I’ve been mapping my Blogini 2.0 blogging strategy. My intention is to keep it manageable and consistent. I think first time around I tried to do too much. This time I’ll work it differently. Ken has a very polished sales page up now, so you can get a comprehensive idea of what is available. He’s really overhauled the whole program. I’m excited…

Thanks for visiting and have a good one.

My resolve is growing. My intention to increase the amount of time I spend on productive activities is taking shape, and that means clearing out some of the junk.

Today I unsubscribed from a whole bunch of mailing lists. It takes so much time to read all those emails, and each one sends me to another page with an offer of some kind. I trust I’ll hear about whatever is important through the forums I regularly read.

The second thing I did is cancel my subscription to a couple membership groups. That will save both time and money. If the value isn’t there, no sense in holding on. I sometimes think I don’t want to miss out if something good does come along, but that’s nuts. So I’m cutting ties.

The forums I really appreciate continue to be Keyword Avalanche and 5 Bucks a Day. KA does have a monthly fee and is well worth it. 5BaD is a free benefit of purchasing the 5 Bucks a Day ebook, which offers a ton of value.

The remaining monthly memberships are to PLR programs, Article Underground, and Niche Marketing on Crack. I’ll evaluate those too, and only continue to subscribe if I can really identify some value in them. With Blogini 2.0, I’m paid up for life. A great deal. I also belong to InfoGoRound, and that membership is free as long as I submit 1 article a month. I get great PLR from IGR, and they offer other features that I’m not using yet.

With the other PLR sites, I get really well written articles in niches I like. But, am I using enough of it? Is there any point to just letting it pile up on my hard drive? Probably not.

It wasn’t my intention to start evaluating the programs here, but looks like I got a start. To be continued…

Makes me crazy when I’m looking online at a product I’d like to buy, I go away for a few days and when I come back, the price has increased by $20 with no warning! Only online, though. Can you imagine this happening in retail store? Nope!

Well it happened today with JP Schoeffel’s “How to Turn Sites into Money.” I’ve liked his work before, he sends very informative emails and the sales letter got me. It looks really good and comprehensive. I did buy it at the elevated price and will start reading it right away. It actually consists of 5 ebooks on different topics.

That’s enough for now.

I signed up for Blogini 2.0 today. I went with the Lifetime Gold package. That’s an absolute steal. I feel kind of guilty doing it because I know the level of value Ken Fox has built into the program. My decision was based on being financially responsible and my commitment to do a much better job of balancing earnings and expenditures this year.

The decision was hard. I really wanted the extreme package. Even this morning Ken was adding more benefits. He is making JVManager available with the extreme package. That program coordinates your affiliates, marketing, lists, and from the sounds of it, just about everything in your business. Wow.

He also decided to they would promote links to a website that might coincide with one of your blogs. This means your blog url and 3 rotating anchor text phrases will be promoted for each blog, and the same will be promoted for one of your websites as well. I love this. So targeted backlinks will be built for both your blog and your website.

One great thing is I still have the option to upgrade later on, as long as there are places available. So that’s cool. I feel glad to have the decision made. Now I’ll have to make good use of all the benefits I do get, and build my own network of niche blogs based on all I learn.

Have a good weekend everyone!
