The Internet marketing realm feels quiet these days. It’s actually not, so it must be me.
There were some supermega launches this week that I avoided, like PPC Classroom. DealDotCom continues to spread. I jumped on SEO Elite when it became available. It just does so many things, I couldn’t pass it up. They offer some great videos to teach you how to make the most out of the software. I’m excited.
Much of my time lately has gone to maintenance. Like posting to blogs, attending to websites, distributing articles.
One specific accomplishment this week was completing a video on Boy Million. It was my first attempt at a video and it’s very amateur, but it’s done and it’s on YouTube and I had fun putting it together. It’s just a slide show, I’m not the star or anything, but I’m sure that’ll be coming soon.
So for your pleasure, here’s my video:
Thanks for watching!
It is really true that if you have a website or a blog, you can use all the quality backlinks you can get. Consider visiting Boy Million and getting one!
Really a great week so far. So much is in the works.
Seems this was the week of updates and articles. I got a number of articles published through the Content Spooling Network. That’s sort of like a link exchange, except you exchange articles on similar themed sites. There’s no reciprocal linking involved at all. Another benefit is the program is set up so all the articles submitted are unique, no duplicates. Very cool.
I also have been doing a bunch of work on my Squidoo lens and my IM website Yellow Dog Marketing. I continue to learn so much.
A bunch of people have downloaded the FreeBayRSS Wordpress plugin. Here’s the link again in case you missed it: FreeBayRSS. The full version, BayRSS, has a sales page you can check out. The free version does not.
Another reminder is Deal Dot Com. Are you a marketer? You’re going to miss out if you don’t get signed up. The site is just starting up and it will get hot very soon. Sizzling. I expect great deals on software, but you have to check every day because the product changes everyday and they are selling out. As people start getting in the habit of checking the site regularly, sales will be made. Get yourself on the affiliate side of that, making a commission with every sale.
Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for visiting.
Today I want to demonstrate the beauty of a new free plugin for Wordpress blogs. It’s called FreeBayRSS by Azlan Kasim. With this plugin you can easily display both eBay auctions and Amazon.com products on your blogs. Here’s how it looks:
[nms:baseball,2,0]
AND this is how the Amazon ads appear:
[ama:baseball,1,new]
You can place the code for eBay and/or Amazon anywhere on your blog. You input the keywords that determine which ads display and you choose how many ads show up. And, better yet, you get all the affiliate commissions! It’s very fun. Azlan is great with support and he’s a great guy too.
Download your copy of FreeBayRSS and start playing!
Oh, and P.S. from my earlier post: Don’t forget to sign up for Deal Dot Com. Looks like it will be a lot of fun and ultimately offer some pretty good deals on Internet marketing products.
It is going viral quickly. I bet I’ve come across a dozen references to it already today. If you’re into promoting, do that too. The commission structure they have set up looks pretty cool.
The other new marketing craze to hit this week is BlogRush. This is John Reese’s creation which will potentially increase the traffic and exposure for any blog. You just have to sign up, add a widget to your blog, and you’re done. The widget will show the titles of similarly themed blogs, and at the same time your blog title will be displayed on someone else’s blog. If you also have referrals, this could grow wildly. Check it out to get more information.
That’s it for today. Have a good one! You will if your weather is anything like we’re getting here — beautiful Fall.
Just a quick post to say I’ve spent some time using Submit ‘em now — the Firefox plugin I mentioned in the last post — and I can’t recommend it. It seems in need of maintenance. (It is free, so maybe that’s the best I can expect?) I suppose if you have the time and want to stick with it, you could get some value, but maybe not.
The program works similarly to Link Directory Submitter. There is a list of blog directories to submit your site to, for SEO backlink building. You click on a directory and the registration page should appear with all or most of your blog’s information already loaded. You might have to choose a category or something, but the process should take seconds.
What I found was more directories are not accessible than are accessible, my information was not filled in, or the directory was charging a fee. Overall it felt like a waste of time. Looks like I need to do more research to find a good blog directory submitter. Apparently this one is just not being kept up.
In the case of Link Directory Submitter, the opposite is the case. They maintain it scrupulously, adding and deleting website directories regularly to make sure the software is up to date and current. Once you input your site information, you can really roll and get registered on dozens of sites in a fairly short time span. I highly recommend Link Directory Submitter, but will be deleting the Submit ‘em now plugin right away.
