A little over a week ago I wrote about trying Auction Ads, which puts a block of eBay ads on a webpage. I haven’t paid a whole lot of attention to the ads over the past 10 days, but did check them out yesterday. What I found was a bunch of ads that have nothing to do with my site content. Not cool. I guess if you’re not getting keyword specific auctions you are getting very popular auctions. Still didn’t cut it for me.
Now I am trying some Amazon Okamase ads on one of the sites instead. Let’s see how that goes. So far, they are more keyword specific. Amazon is frequently criticized because of the low commission percentage, but I’ve been reading more positive comments lately. Like, people don’t buy one thing when they go on Amazon, they buy $100s worth of products. So it’s worth a try.
One on my site is showing Auction Ads that are appropriate and I’m keeping those there for now. It’s a good idea to try a number of options, right? CBAdbox is another option, although it reminds me quite a bit of adsense. It uses Clickbank products. Maybe that’s next.
Has everyone been seeing the “2007 Authority Black Book” being promoted everywhere? I’m surprised by who is coming out with it! It’s by Jack Humphrey of Content Desk fame, and it’s free. Sorry, I don’t have a link. I wonder what it is leading up to? There’s gotta be something!
That’s it for now. Have a good one everybody!
