Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Archive for the ‘Keyword Research’ Category

Not quite as much fun today. I was working with NicheBOT 2 and Keywords Results Analyzer and trying to replicate a process for finding easy to rank for keywords that is recommended in my coaching class. No go. It’s amazing to me how different all the keyword tools are. Each one of them seems to excell at a different function, and measure the data it mines in just a little different way. Like “competition” in one means something totally different than “competition” in another, and where they draw their data from can be so different.

There is a soon to be released program that looks fabulous for identifying longtail keywords for adsense sites or article marketing. At least I hope it is released soon. I want it. I have another little program designed just for quickly identifying niches and keywords for bum marketing. The program recommended in my class is for adsense primarily. It’s super powerful and very exciting, but costs a bundle and you pay as you go. It could add up real fast.

So today got a little frustrating trying to learn a new program and connect the dots and they weren’t connecting. What I often do in that case is print out and read the manual, and I just may do that.

Blogini 2.0 really is coming very soon. Building up the back end has taken longer than Ken Fox expected, but he wants to make sure it is done right. I have an inkling of what he has planned, but am anticipating some videos to pull it all together. That should be fun.

Thanks for being here. Have a great weekend.

I’m right now in the process of submitting an article to a whole bunch of article directories with Article Post Robot. I’m thrilled! The posting process moves much more quickly that I expected.

I did a little research earlier today about which keywords on my adsense sites would be easiest to rank for in Google. Then I started with one of the easiest, rewrote that article and started submitting. With the spooler script I used, my articles are all 30% different from each other. This feels so cool, like I’ve jumped a huge hurdle successfully and now it’s full steam ahead.

The rewriting process took awhile, but I know with practice I’ll get better.

Now I’m curious to find out what kind of a change in traffic and adsense clicks I experience. This will be fun. I’ll keep you posted.

Being struck today with how much time everything seems to take. It’s amazing! It seems like some internet marketers turn out project after project and website after website. How?

Okay, so I’ll let go of feeling crazy and focus on what I can do. Looks like my “5 Bucks a Day” project for the week, of finishing up the promotion for the adsense sites I created, is pretty unrealistic. I’ll keep working at it, and I’ll probably need to focus on the same thing next week. The key here is to actually finish it, instead of leaving a bunch of loose ends.

In my adsense coaching class, we’re switching to a new keyword research tool, one that does not rely on Overture for gathering valuable data. I saw some demo videos on it today, and it looks incredibly powerful. I’ll wait to mention the name until I get a chance to check it out and play around a little bit. It sure looks fun, though.

I sure love what I’m doing here and am having so much fun. What a gift! Have a good one.

My focus this weekend has been on adding a number of articles on taxes to my finance site. I got these articles through a Warrior Forum WSO a short time ago, and am finding them really well written and informative.

I’ll finish editing and publish the new articles tomorrow and then start to promote like crazy to get some traffic. I’ll do that by submitting the site to directories, posting comments on blogs, submitting to social bookmarking sites, and announcing the pages on Article Underground blogs. That’s a start. Then I plan to do some article submissions too. I’m guessing I’m even a little late getting these pages up, but it’s good info and we’ll see what happens. So far I only have adsense on the site, but I’ll also add some affiliate links. I’m really enjoying doing this.

I learned of a really cool tool today, courtesy of Dr. Andy Williams. It’s called a Keyword bookmarklet, and clicking on it brings up a report of all the keywords and related keywords for the website you currently are looking at. Very cool tool. I only played with it briefly, but it looks like it brings up all kinds of keywords that aren’t even on your site, sort of like I would suspect of an LSI tool. I’ll play with it somemore and let you know what I find. You can find the tool at: www.seoprotoolz.com. Have fun!

I am struck by how much I don’t know!

Like, if someone links to my blog, how do I link back?

I have learned such an incredible amount these past months and made great progress but I stumble on such details. But I am learning, and I will be able to link to others’ blogs at some point.

Today I built another adsense website. I really like the sites I’m building as a result of my adsense coaching class. I submitted articles the other day to ezinearticles.com and they were approved. I’ve had some page views and gotten a few clicks. So, progress.

My plan:

1. Build the 5th site in my first block of sites.
2. Submit 6 articles for each site to ezine articles.
3. Mass submit the 6 articles for each site using Article Post Robot.
4. Create PR4 & PR5 backlinks to all sites by connecting to each page from the Article Underground blogs.
5. Submit all sites to social bookmarking sites using Bookmarking Demon.
6. Begin the article outsourcing process over again.

Then evaluate. If it looks promising, I’ll start the whole process again with another block of niches.

I have identified enough niches to build about 35 adsense websites similar to these first ones. The question that comes up is how to I do the keyword research after this? Keyword Elite is just not working. Not sure if it is all due the Overture deal or not. I’m in the process of exploring NicheBOT to see if I can get all the data I need using that tool.

I was offered free tickets today to a seminar that Derek Gehl’s IMC group is putting on in Minneapolis in late March. I jumped on it! What a reputable group! Derek was Corey Rudl’s right hand guy and has taken over the business following Corey’s death. This is cool news!

That’s it for now. I’m sure open to constructive feedback…
