Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Archive for the ‘PLR Articles’ Category

Here it is December already. I started this blog about 6 months ago. What progress have I made during these months? I’d have to say it is more in the realm of education about Internet marketing rather than tangible success. I’m clearly guilty of lacking focus. I’ve spread myself too thin, reading countless emails and checking out countless offers of services and products. Almost everything sounds good. I have grown to a point of being much more discerning about what email lists I am on and what kinds of promotions I even read about. That’s a good thing.

My initial plan was to start with adsense sites. I have a bunch of these up and running. Traffic is my challenge now. How to draw visitors to my websites? I know the niches are good. Now how to differentiate myself from the others and attract viewers? SEO is the first obvious answer and I’m focusing on that. My sites are still small, so I will add tons of pages of content to them. I will build up backlinks through directory submissions and reciprocol linking. I am starting to understand keywords better and am in the process of optimizing sites and pages for those. So this is cool and a clear strategy.

So far I have used mostly PLR articles for the content for my websites. I’ve tried a number of programs for the content and found many to offer poorly written articles. I was surprised. I’ve also found some good ones though and plan move forward with those. I have started to write some of my own articles also and expect to add original content to each site fairly regularly. I’ll begin submitting articles to directories too, once I get a system going with my writing. Ultimately I’d love to see these sites build up some PR and some pretty regular traffic.

In the meantime, in the background, a network of links is being built for all my blogs and websites by some SEO professionals. This is through Blogini, which I have mentioned before. They’re building “an infrastructure of laser-like targeted backlinks and handling top secret external SEO strategies.” It’s a really fun group to belong to. I’m learning a ton and have access to training and answers for all my internet questions.

I do plan to start focusing on adding some affiliate promotions on my sites once my foundation feels a little better established. Then will come developing my own products and building some lists. That’s the order that makes sense to me, although I’m sure I could find a ton of contrary advice.

Here are some of the resources I’m using:

Blogini for the linking infrastructure behind the scenes.

InfoGoRound for content (although they offer site building and newsletter resources as well).

Article Underground for content and link building through their announcement blogs (what a cool idea!).

Niche-Health-Articles for content (really well written).

Instant Article Wizard Pro for article writing (what a concept!). Jonathan Leger is nothing short of a genuis as a programmer.

XSitePro for building my sites. I have to say this is fairly easy to use and I’ve found tons of resources for templates and customizing.

That’s it for now. Back to adding content to my sites.
