Yellow Dog Ventures

Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

My resolve is growing. My intention to increase the amount of time I spend on productive activities is taking shape, and that means clearing out some of the junk.

Today I unsubscribed from a whole bunch of mailing lists. It takes so much time to read all those emails, and each one sends me to another page with an offer of some kind. I trust I’ll hear about whatever is important through the forums I regularly read.

The second thing I did is cancel my subscription to a couple membership groups. That will save both time and money. If the value isn’t there, no sense in holding on. I sometimes think I don’t want to miss out if something good does come along, but that’s nuts. So I’m cutting ties.

The forums I really appreciate continue to be Keyword Avalanche and 5 Bucks a Day. KA does have a monthly fee and is well worth it. 5BaD is a free benefit of purchasing the 5 Bucks a Day ebook, which offers a ton of value.

The remaining monthly memberships are to PLR programs, Article Underground, and Niche Marketing on Crack. I’ll evaluate those too, and only continue to subscribe if I can really identify some value in them. With Blogini 2.0, I’m paid up for life. A great deal. I also belong to InfoGoRound, and that membership is free as long as I submit 1 article a month. I get great PLR from IGR, and they offer other features that I’m not using yet.

With the other PLR sites, I get really well written articles in niches I like. But, am I using enough of it? Is there any point to just letting it pile up on my hard drive? Probably not.

It wasn’t my intention to start evaluating the programs here, but looks like I got a start. To be continued…
